About the scholarship
The Epilepsy Foundation of Kentuckiana is now accepting applications for the 2026 Shannon O'Daniel Memorial Scholarship. This award is intended for a student who has shown bravery in confronting epilepsy or seizure disorders, demonstrated a strong commitment to their education, and persistently worked to overcome the challenges those conditions create.
Eligibility / Award requirements
To be considered, applicants must meet all of the following:
- Be under the care of a physician for epilepsy or neurological seizures.
- Be actively receiving treatment and/or taking anticonvulsant medication(s).
- Be able to document and describe how they have faced and worked to overcome obstacles related to their epilepsy or seizures.
- Be an incoming college freshman beginning classes in the Fall 2026 semester.
- Reside in Kentucky or in one of the following Indiana counties: Clark, Floyd, or Harrison.
