Kappa Alpha PSI Foundation Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Kappa Alpha PSI Foundation
Introduction
The Foundation awards merit-based scholarships that also take financial need into account. Recipients must be working toward a baccalaureate degree at an accredited college or university, and must meet the specific eligibility described for each scholarship. Unless a scholarship’s description explicitly states otherwise, awards are for a single year and are not renewable.
Eligibility
The Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation offers financial support to graduating high school seniors and continuing undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need and who plan to attend a four-year accredited college or university. Scholarships are open to students with declared majors as well as those who have not yet declared a major.
Number and Value of Awards
At least ten scholarships will be distributed. Each selected student will receive a one-year award of $2,000.
Selection Criteria
Awards are granted on the basis of merit combined with demonstrated financial need. Applicants should show evidence of academic accomplishment, civic leadership, or meaningful community service.
Notification and Disbursement
Winners will be announced at the Foundation’s annual Celebration of Achievement or at the Grand Chapter Meeting of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. in a Conclave year. The full scholarship amount will be paid at the start of the Fall semester.
