These scholarships are intended for applicants who hold a High School Diploma or a GED. Review each award listing below for specific eligibility rules, required materials, deadlines, and application instructions.
Charles Womer Scholarship Fund
- Award: Amount varies; may be renewed competitively for up to four years in total.
- Who may apply: Prior recipients of the Charles Womer Scholarship who are currently enrolled at Rogue Community College (RCC) or who are transferring from RCC to a four‑year institution. Students must carry at least two‑thirds of a full course load each term/semester.
- Minimum GPA: 2.5 or higher for vocational programs; 3.0 or higher for academic programs.
- How recipients are chosen: Decisions are based on the student’s current academic performance and demonstrated progress toward long‑term educational or career goals.
- How to apply: Submit the competitive renewal scholarship application form.
- Deadline: April 30 each year.
Flaming Family Scholarship (In Memory of Lucy Flaming) — For RCC Students
- Award: One $1,000 scholarship.
- Eligibility: Applicant must have a High School Diploma or GED, be a resident of Jackson or Josephine County for at least three years, and be enrolled at Rogue Community College.
- Selection factors: Financial need, academic ability, character and citizenship, and involvement in extracurricular activities and/or employment experience.
- Use of funds: Scholarship checks are issued directly to the recipient’s college or university to cover tuition and fees. Funds may also be reimbursed for textbooks and necessary school supplies if receipts are submitted to the Redwood Foundation for Education.
- Application: Complete the PDF application.
- Deadline: Applications must be received by August 1 each year.

- Award disbursement: Complete the scholarship request form to receive the funds.
Josephine County Home Builders Association Scholarship
- Award: Up to $2,500; competitively renewable for up to four years.
- Eligibility: Applicant must have a High School Diploma or GED and have been a resident of Josephine County for at least three years.
- Minimum GPA: 2.0 or higher.
- Selection criteria: Career objectives, academic record, work history, and financial need are considered.
- Use of funds: Intended for degree, certification, or licensure programs in trades that affect the home building industry (for example: electrician, construction, plumbing). Payments are mailed directly to the student’s college or training program for tuition and fees. With prior approval and submission of receipts or a syllabus to Redwood, awards may also cover books, supplies, and eligible employment‑related expenses.
- Renewal: This scholarship is renewable annually on a competitive basis and requires satisfactory progress in the trade program or education. Contact Redwood for the renewal application in July each year.

Chauvin‑MacGuire Memorial Scholarship
- Award: $6,000.
- Eligibility: Graduates of Illinois Valley High School.
- Selection considerations: Academic potential, financial need, and resilience. Preference is given to students beginning their postsecondary studies at a community college, with particular consideration for those starting at RCC.
